I want to subtract myself from the world whittle myself down to bones and silence not a diminishment, exactly but a sloughing away a refinement, purification from the mouth stuffed with cotton words mind clogged with white noise the futility of work from busyness and movement from the highways, the chatter, the relentless doing so that below, what is clouded, buried can rise up breaking the surface
